The 6S approach is the most widely used strategy for increasing the efficiency and safety of any office or organization. It is a strategy for sorting, cleaning, organizing, and improving the workplace which aids in increasing productivity, lowering waste, and improving the quality of any work environment.
The 6S technique is extremely helpful in achieving an organization's goals of continual improvement and greater quality and safety performance. In addition, the 6S technique improves worker efficiency in any office.
A talk session on the 6S method was held in Church of the N.B.V.M, Butterworth. The tribunal staffs of the Penang Diocese were also invited to participate in the session. The session focused on the understanding of the steps of 6S method (Sorting, Set in Order, Shine, Standardization, Sustain and Safety) and its application for greater work efficiency in respective offices.
